Advanced Clinical Pharmacist – Neurosciences, OMFS & Spinal Band 8a (37 hours)
Are you ready for a truly unique career opportunity? We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward thinking pharmacist to join our vibrant and highly skilled Neuropharmacy team within the renowned Institute of Neurological Sciences (INS) at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.
This is a rare chance to step into a cutting edge regional service delivering specialist care across neurology, neurosurgery, neurocritical care, oral & maxillofacial surgery, and spinal injuries. With over 200 inpatient beds, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing expert pharmaceutical advice, shaping clinical decision making across multidisciplinary teams, and influencing regional and national medicines management.
In this advanced clinical role, you will:
- Work closely with the Lead Pharmacist for patient services to develop and enhance clinical pharmacy services across the INS.
- Lead and support innovative practice, including the delivery of pharmacist led clinics. -led clinics
- Act as an expert practitioner, providing strategic insight, horizon scanning, and financial impact assessments to the Regional Services Directorate.

We’re looking for someone who brings confidence, enthusiasm, and a collaborative mindset to a busy and highly specialist environment. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are essential, alongside a postgraduate pharmacy qualification and independent prescribing registration.
You’ll work Monday to Friday, with participation in on-call, weekend, extended hours and public holiday rotas as required. From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
