Position: Pipe Fitter Job ID: 3456/6 Location: Govan Shipyard Rate/Salary: Local (within 39 miles) – £26.89/hr Non-local (outside 39 miles) – £37.75/hr Night Shift: Local – £35.67/hr | Non-local – £46.52/hr Fri–Sun Shift: Local – £35.67/hr | Non-local – £46.52/hr Please note: This Umbrella Only. The below job description will outline this position of Pipe fitter Typically, this person will be a skilled operative responsible for the fabrication, assembly and/or installation of ship components, dependent on their trade discipline. The role is critical in delivering high-quality products while maintaining strict safety, quality, and delivery standards. HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well-regarded business entity. Duties and responsibilities of the Pipe Fitter:

• Comply fully with all Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) regulations and procedures
• Achieve team and project targets within agreed timescales
• Produce work to the required quality standards and specifications
• Assist supervisors with shop-floor and operational issues
• Ensure job completion dates are consistently met

Qualifications and requirements for the Pipe Fitter:

• Strong understanding of fabrication and installation drawings
• Clear awareness of SHE risks, quality standards, and work tolerances
• Good knowledge of the relevant trade discipline
• Excellent hand skills for fabrication and assembly tasks
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with good verbal communication skills
• Reliable and professional approach to work
• Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/ Scottish Higher)
• Safety certifications such as SHE induction, COSHH awareness, Working at Height, or equivalent
