BIM / CAD Technician - Water

We are looking for a passionate individual with Civil 3D and/or Revit experience to contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical drawings and models across a range of infrastructure projects. You will be based in our fantastic Glasgow office, whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. We have recently been named preferred bidder for one of two Primary Designers for Scottish Water's SR27 Enterprise. This transformational, multi-billion-pound programme is the highest value venture ever put into place by Scottish Water and will reshape Scotland's water and wastewater infrastructure from 2027 to 2033 (with potential to extend for another 6 years). We will be at the heart of this ground-breaking delivery model, shaping design excellence at scale and working with Scottish Water and our Enterprise Partners to help drive outcomes that deliver value for customers in Scotland and go beyond net zero.   • Digital Delivery: Responsible for developing design outputs from initial concepts through to fully detailed design deliverables.
  • Utilise Digital Tools: Encourage the use of digital tools to review, influence, and enhance design quality processes.
  • Champion BIM: Promote, articulate, and lead BIM behaviours on the projects.
  • Coordinate Project Deliverables: Support coordination of deliverables for multiple projects, ensuring completion within budget. Provide support and management of project resources to facilitate production of deliverables.
  • Team Relationship: Be proactive in relationships with internal project stakeholders, reporting progress or highlighting any technical issues for timely resolution.
  • Maintain Standards: Support the CAD Lead in maintaining CAD standards, best practices, and processes for modelling, content creation, and advanced digital developments.
  • Design Team Meetings: Actively participate and input to design team meetings, bringing with you a digital by default mindset, championing the use of 3D model reviews and markups.
  • Mentor Junior Technicians: Work across the Scotland offices supporting junior Revit Technicians, from a technical perspective.

    Ready to push the limits of what's possible? Here's what we're looking for:
  • Certified minimum of HND or Equivalent in an engineering discipline, e.g. Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Project Information Delivery: Experience in delivering project information in accordance with BIM standards.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in using Civil 3D or Revit, with experience in validating and coordinating models in Navisworks or similar software.
  • Experience working in a Common Data Environment such as ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar.
