Associate - Major Injury & Casualty

DWF Law LLP is seeking to recruit a Senior Associate to join our growing Major Injury & Casualty team dealing varied caseload of litigated cases across Employers Liability, Public Liability, Motor, RTA, Casualty, Disease, Personal injury, Serious injury and catastrophic injury DWF Law LLP is a flexible business, which has adopted a hybrid working model where our people enjoy a mix of home and office working. The role can be worked from Glasgow or Edinburgh on a hybrid basis. Responsibilities

• Ensuring that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Strong technical ability to include a thorough grasp of principles, case law and litigation.
• Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
• Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices
• Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally

  Experience handling own caseload of pre-litigated and Sheriff Court actions as well as assisting more senior team members with large value, complex files.
• Experience managing Employers Liability, Public Liability, RTA, Casualty, Disease, Personal injury, Serious injury and catastrophic injury work
• Insurance litigation experience is essential., Experience handling litigation experience in one of the following area's - Employers Liability, Public Liability, RTA, Casualty, Disease, Personal injury, Serious injury and catastrophic injury
• Experience of acting for Defenders, including litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to work effectively under pressure.
