What you’ll be working on

You will handle your own portfolio of pursuer injury claims both pre-litigation and litigated, including basic injury and complex, serious injury claims. You will have a strong focus to generate fee income and contribute to the general success of the team.

Day-to-day

• Delivering excellent client care to our clients who have suffered from a traumatic and life changing event.

• Instructions and meetings with clients and expert witnesses.

• Analysis of evidence and research of legal issues on liability, causation, and quantum.

• Drafting documents including statements, pleadings, and all court documents.

• Securing early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation.

• Optimising your client’s settlement.

• Ability to work within a task-based case management system to ensure regular contact is maintained with all clients, providing exceptional customer service and managing their expectations.

• Raising awareness of the department and developing your profile by regularly reporting cases, preparing articles and testimonials and commentary on relevant, current issues.

• Conduct regular technical and case reviews, providing updates and feedback to management.

• Supervision, mentoring, endorsing court documents and assisting in the development of junior members of the team as appropriate.

• Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment.

• To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business.

You should apply if

• You have experience in handling personal injury cases

• A commitment to delivering excellent client care for each of our clients

• Excellent communication skills to include negotiation and objection handling

• Accountable for achieving objectives in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of work quality and client care.

• Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of Excel and Word.

• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
