Legal Counsel

Glasgow

This is an exciting opportunity to join GRAHAM's growing legal team as a Legal Counsel or Junior Legal Counsel. Working closely with commercial and operational teams, you'll provide practical, day-to-day legal support on contracts, project delivery issues and supply-chain matters, helping our teams deliver with confidence. You'll work alongside Senior Legal Counsel and the Head of Legal (Construction) on a broad range of work - from reviewing and negotiating contracts, to supporting live project queries, to helping develop clear, consistent legal processes and templates across the Group. You'll build strong relationships across the business and gain hands-on exposure to both contentious and non-contentious matters, aligned to your level of experience. We believe that this role would be well suited to someone at an early stage of their construction law career or ready to step into a more established Legal Counsel position. If you enjoy problem-solving, working closely with project teams and delivering practical, commercially focused advice, we'd love to hear from you. About the Role You can expect to: · Provide day-to-day legal and contractual support to commercial and operational teams across construction and project-delivery activities. · Review, draft and negotiate construction and commercial contracts, appropriate to your level of experience, with support from senior colleagues where required. · Support project teams on routine contract administration matters, including change control, notices and supply-chain documentation. · Respond to live project queries clearly and pragmatically, helping teams understand risk and make informed decisions. · Identify potential dispute or risk issues early and escalate appropriately, supporting Senior Legal Counsel with preparation and documentation where required. · Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, guidance notes and internal processes., At GRAHAM, we are proud to say that we are a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and we aim to be the first choice for people from all backgrounds. We seek to promote respect for the individual and equality of opportunities. We believe that everyone should be treated solely on the basis of personal merit and contribution throughout their GRAHAM career journey and not on the value of artificial barriers, prejudices, or preferences. If you require any adjustments or accommodations during the application or interview process, please let us know. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. We are dedicated to making our policies and guidance accessible to all applicants and employees.
