We’re working with a leading, top-tier accountancy firm to appoint an Assistant Manager into their growing Private Capital Tax team in Glasgow. This is a genuinely well-rounded role—offering exposure across corporate tax, shareholder advisory, and private client work.

• Corporate + Private Client exposure - Work with owner-managed businesses and advise both the company and the individuals behind it
• Compliance AND Advisory - You’ll manage corporate tax compliance but also get involved in transactions, structuring and shareholder planning
• Real responsibility early on - Own your own client portfolio and build trusted relationships
• Direct access to senior leadership - Work closely with Partners and Directors, not buried in layers
• Study support for CTA, if not already qualified

The role

• Managing a portfolio of OMBs, private equity-backed and corporate groups
• Delivering corporate tax compliance and tax accounting
• Supporting on advisory projects including transactions, structuring and shareholder advisory
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Reviewing and developing junior staff
• Collaborating across audit and advisory teams

What we’re looking for

• ATT / CTA / ACCA / CA qualified
• Strong Corporate Tax grounding
• Experience managing compliance work, with exposure (or appetite) for advisory
• Commercial mindset and ability to build relationships
