Senior Business Controller
Robert Half is working with a global business in Glasgow. This role is office-based 2-3 days per week.
Overview:
A senior finance role providing end-to-end financial oversight on a large, complex programme. Ideal for experienced project accountants seeking a visible and strategic position with cross-functional exposure.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with programme leadership to monitor costs, risks, and financial performance.
- Produce forecasts, budgets, and consolidated reporting for large multi-year programmes.
- Support project managers with cost analysis, savings initiatives, and commercial insights.
- Lead month-end reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Act as primary contact for internal and external audits and compliance reporting.
Requirements:
- Fully-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with extensive project accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of long-term contracts, cost-to-completion analysis, and commercial accounting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Excel; ERP and planning tools experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, complex environment.
