About the Role

We’re recruiting a Male Support Worker to join our Pollok Housing Support Service. You’ll be part of a close‑knit team supporting two men in their 50s who are deafblind, living independently in their own homes.

Support is delivered on a 2:1 basis and focuses on empowering each individual to live a full and active life. Both gentlemen enjoy swimming, long walks, meals out, travel, and community activities, including overseas trips. Strong, respectful communication and relationship‑building are key to this role.

Key Responsibilities

> Provide person‑centred support with daily living (personal care, housework, meals, medication, finances, companionship)
> Promote independence, choice, and individuality
> Support health, wellbeing, and active lifestyles
> Maintain accurate records and follow support plans
> Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals

Shift Pattern

>35 hours per week
> Mix of day shifts and longer shifts including sleepovers
> Flexibility required (fair and balanced rota provided)

> Caring, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude
> Good communicator and team player
> Organised, proactive, and eager to learn
> Passionate about supporting people with additional needs
> Experience in social care is welcome but not required—we also encourage career‑changers to apply.
