Construction Safety Advisor
Promoting best practice through continuous professional development, keeping up to date with legislation, regulation, and industry standards
Developing and delivering safety briefings to support effective communication across operational teams
Supporting incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventative actions
Assisting operational teams to develop and review safe systems of work and risk assessments
Undertaking site inspections, audits, and monitoring activities in line with the Business Unit Audit & Inspection Plan
Providing account-level feedback on the effective implementation of safety policies and procedures
Supporting delivery of the Amey HSEQ strategy through regular site engagement and workforce interaction
Analysing safety data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and develop action plans
Positively contributing to account-level health and safety meetings
Providing practical guidance to operational teams on the application of Amey's safety policies and procedures We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Proven ability to drive positive change in HSEQ culture, capability, and performance
Strong safety knowledge with the confidence to support and challenge operational teams constructively
An engaging communication and influencing style, with the ability to build effective working relationships
Previous experience in a similar safety advisory role within a construction or infrastructure environment
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across wider Operational Safety teams
Strong IT skills, with the ability to produce clear, high-quality reports, presentations, and communications Essential Requirement
