Regional Head Chef

As a Regional Support Chef, you will support our homes across Scotland, covering holidays, sickness, and periods of absence. You'll step into established kitchens, providing stability, maintaining standards, and ensuring residents continue to receive high-quality meals and dining experiences. This role offers a refreshing change from a fixed-site position - giving you the opportunity to work with different teams, share best practice, and develop your skills across a variety of environments. You will be part of a wider hospitality team, working closely with Operations Directors and Home Managers, ensuring continuity and consistency in catering delivery across the region. There are regular activities, themed events, and special occasions throughout the year which you will support - giving you plenty of opportunity to showcase creativity while maintaining company standards. As a Regional Support Chef you will be: Supporting multiple care homes across Scotland to ensure continuity of catering servicesStepping into kitchens and quickly assessing and maintaining operational standards
Preparing and delivering meals in line with company menus, dietary requirements, and policies
Ensuring residents receive a consistent, high-quality dining experience
Supporting and guiding kitchen teams where required
Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
Managing stock effectively during your time on site
Assisting with menu implementation and ensuring compliance with company standards
Communicating effectively with Home Managers and Operations Directors
Providing feedback on kitchen performance, standards, and opportunities for improvement, You will work across multiple services, supporting kitchen teams and ensuring continuity of service.
This role will be managed by the Operations Directors and will involve regular travel across the region. What you will get: 5.6 weeks Annual Leave inclusive of Bank Holidays

Catering qualification (City & Guilds/BTEC or equivalent)
Food Hygiene Certificate (Essential)
Intermediate Food Hygiene (Desirable)
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within care or large-scale catering
Strong adaptability and the ability to work in different environments
Experience in menu delivery, stock control, and kitchen organisation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements)
