Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering (6‑Month Contract)

Location: Office‑Based, Glasgow
Start: ASAP
Duration: Minimum 6 months

We’re recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major civil engineering contractor, with work likely aligned to their water‑sector frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience working across multiple smaller‑value contracts simultaneously, strong familiarity with NEC forms of contract, and a background in framework delivery.

This role is very much office‑based with minimal remote working, so we’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, in‑person environment and can slot seamlessly into an established commercial team.

Key Requirements

• Senior QS experience within civil engineering

• Strong understanding of NEC contracts

• Experience managing several smaller projects at once

• Framework experience highly desirable

• Comfortable working predominantly from the office

What You’ll Be Doing

• Commercial management of multiple live contracts

• Cost control, forecasting, and reporting

• Managing subcontract packages

• Ensuring compliance with NEC processes

• Supporting the wider commercial and project teams
