Residential Surveyor
Job Description
Residential Surveyor - West of Scotland
Your new company
You will be joining one of Scotland’s longest‑established and most trusted property consultancies, known for delivering high‑quality residential surveying services across the country. With multiple offices and a strong reputation for professionalism, accuracy and customer service, they are a key name in the Scottish property market and a preferred partner for lenders, solicitors and private clients.
As a Residential Surveyor, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of residential valuations and surveys across the West of Scotland. You will work on a varied portfolio including Home Reports, mortgage valuations, private surveys and general residential advisory work. You’ll have the opportunity to manage your own patch, plan your diary and work both independently and alongside an experienced team who are always on hand for guidance and support. The role offers strong exposure to a wide range of property types and client requirements, helping you build the technical depth needed for chartership. With ongoing growth in the region, this position provides a clear pathway for professional development, structured support towards APC/chartership, and the opportunity to progress within a respected and stable organisation. What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you’ll ideally be on the pathway toward your APC or nearing chartership, with a genuine desire to develop your career as a residential surveyor. The team is looking for someone who is motivated, detail‑focused and eager to take on responsibility as they progress. You will bring:
- Strong technical understanding of residential property and valuation principles
- Either current APC progression or a clear intention to work toward chartership.
- Excellent communication and report‑writing skills
- Confidence working with homeowners, agents, lenders and internal colleagues
- A proactive, organised approach to managing your workload and meeting client deadlines
- A willingness to learn, grow and contribute to a high‑performing regional team
What you'll get in return
You’ll join a supportive, well‑respected consultancy that genuinely invests in its people, particularly those on their journey to chartership. The company offers a strong training culture, regular CPD opportunities, and the chance to develop under experienced surveyors who are committed to helping you succeed. In return, you will receive:
- A competitive salary of £35,000 – £50,000, depending on experience
- Structured support toward chartership/APC
- Access to varied and interesting residential work across the region
- A collaborative team environment with strong technical guidance
- Long‑term progression opportunities within a stable and well‑established business
- The autonomy to manage your own workload while benefiting from the backing of a large organisation
