The Women & Children’s Directorate (an Acute Operating Division of Greater Glasgow & Clyde NHS Board) is a world leader in the care of child and maternal health services. Located on the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus in the south side of the city, the Royal Hospital for Children hosts many national and regional specialist tertiary and quaternary services. The Directorate also supports an extensive array of community child health services.
This is a permanent post. The successful applicant for this post will join seven consultant colleagues and two senior lecturers as an integral member of the Paediatric Neurosciences team. The post-holder will be expected to have, or to develop, a special interest in complex motor disorders and demyelinating conditions, to fulfil the service gaps created as a result of a consultant with these interests retiring. The successful candidate will be supported to achieve their future training needs. Candidates interested in research and innovation will be encouraged and supported in accessing opportunities in the Scottish NHS including Research & Innovation Fellowships which provide designated sessions for these activities.
The neurosciences service is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team which consists of nursing, psychology, allied health professionals and EEG physiologists.
