AWS Solutions Architect
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of strategic AWS cloud solutions that directly address client business challenges, align with their long-term goals, and demonstrate clear value propositions, scalability requirements, and industry best practices.
- Proactively engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their strategic business requirements, translating these into compelling technical specifications and architectural designs that leverage AWS services to create sellable solutions.
- Evaluate, select, and champion appropriate AWS technology platforms, frameworks, and tools, ensuring our proposed solutions are innovative, competitive, and align with market demands.
- Define comprehensive solution architectures, including system components, interfaces, AWS infrastructure, data modelling, and integration patterns, providing both conceptual and physical views that guide successful implementation and demonstrate strategic foresight.
- Provide authoritative technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring adherence to architectural principles and AWS best practices. Act as a thought leader, contributing to Deloitte's intellectual capital in AWS solutions.
- Conduct rigorous architecture reviews and perform technical assessments to ensure compliance with architectural guidelines, AWS best practices, and quality standards, proactively identifying and mitigating technical risks and issues throughout the AWS solution development lifecycle.
- Collaborate strategically with infrastructure teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the availability, performance, and security of solutions deployed on AWS, and to accurately estimate effort and plan project timelines for successful delivery.
- Stay abreast of emerging AWS technologies, trends, and industry best practices, actively providing recommendations for continuous improvement and driving innovation to enhance solution development processes and outcomes, thereby maintaining our competitive edge.
- Actively support pre-sales activities, contribute to proposal development, and articulate the technical and business value of AWS solutions to secure new engagements and expand our market presence. Your responsibility will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset, but will consistently involve leveraging your deep AWS knowledge to deliver innovative and robust architectural solutions., AWS Expertise: Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with a strong focus on designing and implementing solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
- Certifications: Mandatory Professional level certified (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional).
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation) and experience with architectural patterns for high availability, scalability, and security.
- Consulting Experience: Prior experience in a consulting role, working with diverse clients and project scopes across multiple industries.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying complex issues and developing practical, effective solutions.
- Leadership: Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor team members, and drive architectural decisions.
- Experience: Typically 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years specifically focused on leading and delivering AWS cloud solutions in a client-facing capacity.
