Key Responsibilities of the CNC Grinder:

* Reading blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to determine machining requirements
* Setting up and operating multi-axis CNC grinding and milling equipment
* Selecting tooling, calculating feeds & speeds, and machining a variety of metals including steel, copper, brass, aluminium, and bronze
* Downloading, editing, or writing CNC programs as needed
* Performing quality inspections using precision instruments and gauging devices
* Applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce setup times and improve throughput
* Cleaning, finishing, and preparing components for shipment, including oiling, wrapping, and boxing
* Ensuring all components meet exacting specifications

What You'll Bring:

* Time-served apprenticeship or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
* 5+ years' experience on CNC machine tools in a lean manufacturing environment
* Established experience with Rotary Table Grinder, CNC Table Grinder, or 5-Axis CNC Grinders
* OR strong multi-axis milling experience (Correa, Doosan, or similar)
* Skilled with control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
* Proven ability to hold ultra-tight tolerances (<0.0025mm)
* Experience with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges)
* Ideally, experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar sectors
