About the Role
This is an opportunity to join a major, high-profile project delivering a brand new manufacturing facility, bringing together international businesses and future-focused industries. The scheme is set to be transformative for the local area and offers long-term security and exposure to complex, large-scale construction works.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of the project, assisting with cost management, contract administration and financial reporting. You will work closely with senior members of the commercial team, gaining exposure across all stages of the project lifecycle.
The key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Support contract administration and ensure commercial compliance
- Assist in managing subcontractor relationships and accounts
- Support the preparation and management of variations
- Monitor project costs and assist with cost control
- Prepare and support monthly cost and progress reports
- Assist with procurement, tendering and subcontract management
- Measure quantities and support valuations
- Contribute to work in progress and final account reporting
- Work closely with the commercial team to deliver project objectives
Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Experience working within a Quantity Surveying role in construction or infrastructure
- Understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3 or NEC4)
- Strong commercial awareness
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Quantity Surveyor role are:
- Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to multi-disciplinary project environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
