Construction Manager / Senior Construction Manager
- Oversee the full delivery of the Fife & H2D Enhancements portfolio, transitioning into Fleet Infrastructure Enhancements works
- Provide collective construction management across multiple live sites
- Support Senior Agents and Site Agents to ensure programme, quality and safety targets are met
- Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure works align with overall delivery strategy
- Maintain full accountability for Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance across all sites
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to specification
- Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks, construction constraints and interface issues
- Manage coordination between multiple contractors, subcontractors and client-appointed parties
- Provide construction leadership on complex structure replacements and technically challenging works
- Ensure teams are resourced suitably and have the capability to safely deliver specialist activities
- Support technical reviews, construction methodologies and sequencing of works
- Oversee construction planning including weekly plans, possession strategies and site logistics
- Ensure Construction Phase Plans, WPPs, Task Briefs and ITPs are produced and implemented to the required standard
- Monitor delivery performance and contribute to programme and cost control discussions
- Provide clear, timely reporting on progress, risk, SHEQ performance and delivery status
- Lead and influence construction teams across the portfolio
- Support development and performance management of Supervisors, Agents and site leadership staff
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, supply chain and internal stakeholders
- Proven experience in a Construction Manager or Senior Construction Manager role within rail
- Experience overseeing multiple projects or portfolios rather than single-site delivery
- Strong understanding of rail civil engineering works, including structures and enhancement schemes
- Demonstrable leadership across safety, quality, programme and cost control
- Experience supporting delivery teams on technically complex works
- Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
- SMSTS
- PTS
- CRE and/or Responsible Manager (RM) experience or working towards - desirable
