Job Description
Supervisor Needed For Huge Highways Project
Your new company
You’ll be joining a leading UK infrastructure and engineering services provider, recognised for delivering essential public services and major transport projects nationwide. As part of the team working on a high‑profile motorway scheme, you’ll contribute to a programme focused on maintaining, improving, and future‑proofing one of Scotland’s most critical transport routes. The organisation offers a collaborative environment where safety, innovation, and operational excellence are central to its culture.
Your new role
As a Supervisor on this major motorway project, you will oversee day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications. You’ll coordinate teams, manage subcontractors, monitor progress, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance. Your responsibilities will include planning works, conducting site inspections, resolving operational issues, and ensuring all activities adhere to strict safety and environmental procedures. You’ll play a key role in keeping the project on track and supporting the delivery of essential maintenance and improvement works across the network.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within highways, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations, site safety, and quality standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate teams and subcontractors
- Ability to interpret drawings, method statements, and risk assessments
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., SSSTS/SMSTS, NRSWA, or equivalent)
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
You’ll receive a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to work on a major motorway project that directly impacts the region’s transport infrastructure. The organisation offers excellent career development pathways, ongoing training, and the chance to be part of a supportive team that values your contribution. This role provides long‑term stability and the opportunity to grow within a respected national organisation.
