With operations around the world, our client provides integrated specialty services to the global energy, industrial, and infrastructure markets. Their extensive portfolio of service offerings includes Work Access, Formwork & Shoring, Coating Services and more.

Role Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh would be preferential but would also consider being based in Leatherhead, Manchester, Birmingham or Immingham as alternative locations.

ROLE OVERVIEW
  • Analyse business processes and program requirements.
  • Plan, design and develop IT solutions support organisational functions.
  • Apply communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximise the benefit of IT systems investments.
  • Act as lead on roll out of Company IT systems and leads project configurations, testing, integrations and data migrations.
  • Prepare documentation of requirements and functional specifications.
  • Provide direction to technical developers.
  • Supports end users with problem resolution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the IT Director / Project Managers to respond to the project requirements.
  • Analyse business processes, identify and propose new business processes or program changes to address specific requirements.
  • Create appropriate specification documents including time and cost estimates.
  • Identify, analyse and design program changes consistent with division and Corporate standards and best practices.
  • Research alternative business solutions and, where appropriate, document cost, recommend, present and justify such alternatives.
  • Prepare and update necessary documentation and assist in developing and maintaining system documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise to solving day-to-day issues.
  • Provide training to the users, when appropriate.
  • Collaborates with global IT team on projects and support.
  • Follow governance framework, ensuring all related activities comply with the company standards and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
  • Associate degree required in Information Systems, Science, Engineering or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Project management training desired.
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
  • Oracle E-Business Suite functional experience.
  • Experience in a business analyst or support analyst role.
  • Excellent documentation and interpersonal skills and competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills required.
DESIRED SKILLS
  • PL/SQL experience desired.
  • Experience in Rapid Application Development tools e.g. PowerApps desired
