HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER - Ballieston - ADR driver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Ballieston .

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver , CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver .

Shifts

- 4 on/ 4 off - day shift - 0500 start

Rates of Pay: £16.36 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to):

- Delivery of goods from store to home and trunking work - Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently - Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections - Ensuring all loads are secure before transport - Adhering to traffic laws and driving regulations - Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers - Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:

- Valid UK Category CE Licence - Minimum of 24 months' experience driving CE vehicles - No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) - Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card - Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test - Good spoken and written English - Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills - Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations - Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

- Previous commercial driving experience - Multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

- Driver assessment required (including theory test) - One-week paid induction following a successful assessment
