Most importantly you will bring a fresh, forward-thinking and collaborative approach to the role which is central to the continued improvement of the Acute Services we deliver.

The Clinical Service Manager will be responsible for working collaboratively with the General Manager for the delivery of Older People & Stroke services within South Sector and will be accountable for the strategic and operational delivery and development of the Service. The role is vital for both NHSGGC and the South Sector in delivery of its aims and aspirations for Better Care, Better Health, Better Workplace and Better Value.

You will report to the General Manager and have responsibility for ensuring there is a clear focus on the delivery of the range of high quality, safe and efficient patient centred services required to meet local and national targets.

The Clinical Service Manager will along with the General Manager take forward the development of the Sector’s care for frail older adults and continued development of stroke services including Hyper acute and rehab pathways.

With strong influencing and leadership qualities you will require to evidence significant experience at a senior level in operational management in a healthcare or equivalent, complex environment and will have the ability to inspire confidence and respect to lead and deliver in a politically sensitive and demanding environment.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week . Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
