Our client has a strategic leadership role for an experienced Associate Director Electrical Engineer to guide multiple complex projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, influence business direction, and strengthen senior client relationships. You will drive technical excellence, commercial performance, and operational delivery across a broad portfolio. The role combines project leadership, team management, client development, and contribution to the ongoing expansion and reputation of the Glasgow operation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead major, complex projects with full accountability for electrical and MEP delivery

Serve as a senior client partner, fostering relationships and securing future opportunities

Contribute to business development activities, including bid strategy and proposal input

Oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on large programmes

Ensure profitable project delivery, commercial control, and rigorous governance

Represent engineering capability at senior-level meetings and presentations

Develop, mentor, and support the performance of senior engineers and future leaders

Report regularly on resource planning, project expenditure, and operational metrics

Drive improvements in working practices, efficiency, and technical output

What You Need

Chartered status and extensive experience in electrical engineering

Strong leadership capability, with experience delivering high-value complex schemes

Ability to navigate difficult situations with a professional, solutions-focused approach

Strong commercial awareness and proven experience managing profitable programmes

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong organisational and planning ability, with a track record of meeting deadlines

Broad understanding of multidisciplinary building services engineering

Ability to build lasting client relationships and support business growth
