Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment. We’re proud to be a key partner on the Caledonia Water Alliance and will successfully and safely work with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme.

What will you be doing?
Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience delivering electrical design solutions for water and wastewater MEICA capital maintenance and growth projects. Skilled in producing schematic diagrams, cable calculations, schedules, layout drawings, and engineering documentation to industry standards. Experienced in supporting Project Managers through design and delivery phases, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to internal and external design reviews. Adept at checking technical outputs, ensuring quality compliance, and preparing engineering reports, feasibility studies, RAMS, and specifications. Committed to developing team capability, driving high‑quality design practices, and maintaining continual professional development.
What you’ll bring
- Electrical Degree / HND / HNC or equivalent in engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in design development for clean / wastewater non infrastructure would be desirable.
- Chartered or Incorporated (CEng/IEng) or working towards would be desirable.
- Skills to occupy a leading role within Electrical design/engineering teams & create positive change.
- Previous utility industry knowledge and experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to liaise and engage with clients and key stakeholders.
- Provide mentoring, guidance and technical advice to support and supervise junior staff.
- Full UK Driving license
