Job Description: Wellbeing Enabler
As a Wellbeing Enabler, you will play a crucial role in stimulating residents with varied, meaningful, and interesting activities that are appropriate for their age and abilities. Your organisational and communication skills will help you to manage your time effectively, while your initiative will allow you to design a range of engaging activities for the residents.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities
Develop and provide a suitable timetable of activities that will stimulate and interest residents
Encourage participation and social interaction among residents
Adjust or change activities as needed to suit the service users’ needs
Ensure activities cater to a range of tastes, abilities, and ages
Build connections within the local community to enhance resident engagement
Organise fundraising, events, and outings for residents
Help to create a positive and engaging environment for service users
Plan a weekly activity timetable and produce an annual overview of events
Record the participation and interaction of all service users
Chair meetings with service users and family members to gather feedback
Provide a newsletter to keep families and residents informed of activities
Create life histories for residents to better understand their backgrounds and preferences
Minimum Qualifications
Experience of working in a care home
Previous experience working or volunteering with vulnerable adults
NVQ in Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential)
