Quantity Surveyor
Our client is a well-established but still fast-growing civil engineering and groundworks contractor, around 12 years into their journey and entering an exciting next phase of growth. Small enough that every individual makes a real impact, but established enough to offer stability, variety, and long-term opportunity.
They are now looking to bring an experienced Quantity Surveyor into the business to strengthen the commercial function and support their continued expansion.
The Role
This is a hands-on Quantity Surveying position, primarily office-based at their Glasgow location, with regular site visits as part of the role. Projects span residential, commercial and industrial groundworks, alongside an increasing pipeline of wider civil engineering works.
Workload is spread across Scotland, though travel to more distant sites would typically be limited to around once per month, or as required.
You’ll be involved in the full commercial lifecycle of projects, working closely with senior leadership and having genuine influence over how the commercial side of the business develops.
About You
- HND qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Background in civil engineering, groundworks, or related infrastructure sectors
- Commercially aware, proactive, and comfortable working in a growing business
- Happy working primarily from the office, with site visits as part of the role
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
The real attraction here is progression. This is not a boxed-in role within a large hierarchy. There is a clear and realistic pathway to step into a senior or managerial position as the business grows, with no layers of management in the way.
Our client is looking for someone to join them on that growth journey — to help shape the future of the business, not just fill a role.
In Return
- Long-term career progression and influence within a growing business
- Varied and interesting projects across Scotland
- A supportive, close-knit working environment
- Flexibility when life demands it, without rigid policies
If you’re an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for more responsibility, clearer progression, and the chance to genuinely grow with a business, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
