The shift pattern for this post is day work with on call.

Base : Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

Applications are welcomed for a full time (40 hours per week, 10PA) Consultant Obstetrician and Subspecialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, based in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The successful applicant will join an established team of consultants providing a comprehensive service to the population of Glasgow.

We are looking for a motivated, forward thinking colleague who will develop and support new initiatives. Candidates should be able to provide comprehensive management of high risk pregnancies. There will be opportunities to contribute to specialist obstetric services. The on call component of this post will be contribution to the Obstetric rota.

Applicants must have full GMC registration and a licence to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once CESR is awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
