This job is in COSLA's Migration and Population Team (MPT). The team pursues a varied and wide-ranging agenda to address key issues relating to migration and ethnic minority groups in Scotland. The team has responsibility for a broad range of policy issues including work relating to asylum applicants, refugees and current resettlement programmes, the UK Immigration system, population and demographic change and Gypsy/Traveller communities in Scotland. In addition, the team hosts Scotland’s Strategic Migration Partnership (SMP), a function funded by the Home Office to provide coordination across the UK’s various humanitarian programmes.
