Drawing Technician (Civil / Structural) - FLN Consulting Engineers (Glasgow)

Salary: £25,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

FLN Consulting Engineers are an established multi-disciplinary consultancy operating across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Drawing Technician to join our structural team in Glasgow.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in CAD who is looking to develop their technical drawing expertise within a professional engineering environment. You will support the production of high-quality civil and structural drawings, working closely with engineers, architects, and clients to deliver coordinated design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and amend civil and structural drawings using AutoCAD (and Revit where applicable)
• Assist engineers in developing detailed design drawings and construction information
• Coordinate drawing outputs with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Attend site visits and surveys to inform accurate drawing production
• Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with project and industry requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a civil/structural drawing or technician role
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (essential)
• Experience with Revit Structures (desirable)
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, detailing, and construction principles
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Clear communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
