Senior Health & Safety Advisor – Scotland Region
Location: Glasgow (with travel across regional sites)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

A well-established civil engineering contractor, delivering infrastructure, maintenance, and refurbishment projects throughout the UK, is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support its operations across Scotland.

This regional position offers the opportunity to play a vital role in fostering a positive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting operational teams in delivering projects safely and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert HSQE guidance and support to management and site teams
• Carry out site inspections, audits, and performance reviews
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, producing comprehensive reports and corrective action plans
• Monitor and drive regional KPI performance
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and behavioural safety initiatives
• Support the ongoing development and improvement of HSQE systems
• Attend project and client meetings across the region

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
• Demonstrable experience within a civil engineering environment
• Strong working knowledge of current H&S legislation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all level
• Full UK driving licence

This is a full-time, permanent position working 8:00am–5:00pm. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the business, with regular travel to sites across Scotland.
