As a Social Worker , you will play a key role in assessing the needs of individuals and families, developing care plans, and providing support to promote independence, safeguard wellbeing, and improve outcomes. Key Responsibilities for the Social Worker Job in Glasgow

  • Carry out comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to determine their needs and eligibility for services.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care and support plans.
  • Work in partnership with individuals, families, carers, and other professionals to promote wellbeing and independence.
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and children by identifying risks and taking appropriate action in line with safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Attend case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings as required.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Children Act, Mental Health Act, and Equality Act.

Requirements for the Social Worker Job in Glasgow

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Previous experience working in a statutory or voluntary social care setting.
  • Strong understanding of social work legislation, safeguarding, and best practice.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
